Awards for Smart Lids
In its quest for on-going product development and innovation, Rema has signed an exclusive License Agreement to manufacture and distribute Smart Lids throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Smart Lids are now internationally recognized for their ability to interact with heat and change colour accordingly which has significant implications in the safe service of hot food products and beverages. Rema will be undertaking preliminary production runs in early 2011 and making final refinements before launching the range later in the year.

Rema Research & Development Program
In 2010 Rema invested a six figure sum in R&D and maintaining Rema’s position at the forefront of innovation in the packaging and disposable packaging industry. This significant investment supported new product development and process re-engineering (to reduce wastage and therefore reduce Rema’s environmental footprint).
New Rema Management Team headed by Peter Whatson.
Peter Whatson recently conducted an in-depth review of the Rema business, its structure, performance strategy and direction. He presented his forward-thinking Business Plan to the Board of Directors and as a result of this process, significant investment in skills into the management team has been made throughout 2010. In July 2010, the Board of Directors determined to promote Peter from General Manager to Managing Director.
In addition, we are very proud of our entire Rema team. Thank you to everyone who helps to make Rema REMARKABLE!
